Got an older generator? Its control panel might be due for an update! The CAT® Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP) 4.2B is here to make your Cat generator run smarter and last longer.

Think of it as giving your generator a new, modern brain. This is especially great if your genset uses an older EMCP 2 or EMCP 3 panel.

Why Replace Panel?

An EMCP 4.2 or 4.2B panel uses the same electrical connector and mounting dimensions as an EMCP 3, making upgrades quick and easy. All other panel replacement scenarios without an upgrade kit demand substantial time, effort, and parts for successful installation.

Why Upgrade Kit?

Cat EMCP 4 Upgrade Kits are ideal when updating EMCP 2 and prior Cat panels as well as competitive panels. Upgrade Kits are also a good solution when upgrading from an EMCP 3 panel to EMCP 4.3 or 4.4. A variety of upgrade kits are available for EMCP 4.2, EMCP 4.2B, EMCP 4.3, and EMCP 4.4. Kits are available ready to mount within an existing enclosure or as full enclosures with components already installed.

Safety

  • EMCP 4 has an arc flash energy reducing maintenance mode.
  • When enabled, the arc flash energy reducing mode helps provide additional safety for personnel working on or around the genset.
