Cat® Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are engineered to optimize grid performance and enhance energy resilience.
Large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) strategically store electricity to stabilize grids by balancing supply and demand, especially with intermittent renewables. They also provide crucial backup power during outages. Ranging from residential to utility-scale, CAT’s BESS solutions offer reliable, efficient energy management for a more sustainable and dependable power infrastructure.
HYBRID > BATTERY ESS > POWER GRID STABILIZATION (PGS)
The Power Grid Stabilization (PGS) integrates with solar or other renewable sources to provide short duration power when the renewable source is not available. The PGS also provides reserve power to optimize generator set operation. The system may provide temporary backup power to facilities in the event of a power outage.

The Cat® ETS are scalable and rapidly deployable energy storage systems. The energy storage system integrates with the utility, generator sets and renewable sources to store energy for use at a later time.
